This FREE event includes scientific presentations, group practices, select exhibitors from the martial arts and medical communities, and demonstrations by world class Masters. All Tai Chi and Qigong styles are invited to attend. No experience necessary to participate. Come and join the Tai Chi Community!

08:30 AM – 01:00 PM – Exhibitors Area open (in front of Tamkin Hall/Building 831)

09:00 AM – 09:50 AM – Lecture and demonstration on scientific evidence for the health benefits of Tai Chi and Qigong (Tamkin Hall Auditorium). Dr. Shin Lin, UCI Professor and U.S. National Advisory Council on Complementary and Alternative Medicine.

09:50 AM – 10:00 AM – Assembly of all attendees on open space in front of Tamkin Hall (Building 831) and Medical Science D (Building 825) and nearby lawn.

10:00 AM – 10:30 AM – Short lessons for all attendees on simple Tai Chi and Qigong exercises (Margaret Zhao, Qigong warm up; Ryan Lee, Tai Chi; etc.).

10:30 AM – 11:00 AM – Practice of different styles by groups in designated areas.

11:00 AM – 11:15 AM – Group practice of Tai Chi and Qigong by all attendees.

11:15 AM – 12:00 PM – Demonstrations by Grandmaster CHEN Zheng-Lei, 19 th generation family heir of Chen Style Tai Chi; Grandmaster LIU Ji-Shun, 4 th generation lineage holder of Wu-Hao Style Tai Chi; Dr. LIU Chao, Head of Qigong Cultural Center in Tokyo (Classical Qigong forms of 5 Animals, 6 Sounds, and 8 Brocade), Master Zhong Xue Chao aka "Master Bing" from Wudang Mountain, China who is 15 th generation disciple of Wudang's Zhang San Feng Style, Followed by a summary of research on health benefits of Tai Chi and Qigong presented by Dr. Shin Lin, UCI.

12:00 AM – 12:45 PM – Picnic, Networking, and Visiting Exhibitors —Bring your own food (no alcohol please). Drinking water will be provided.

12:45 AM – 01:00 PM – Cleanup.
