Fang Bian Chan (Convenient Shovel) includes 72 postures. This weapon is unique to Taoist tradition. It is said that the Fang Bian Chan is passed down from Lao Tsu. Lao Tsu left 81 shovels in order to warn his disciples to cultivate their moral character. This weapon is a combination of the staff, fork & spear. The main movements for this form are pressing, blocking, thrusting, shoveling, wiping, patting and so on.

5. Zhui feng gan yue: Chaste the wing and pursuit the moon (start up the body to uppercut the shovel for three times)
6. Heng duan wu shan: Cut off Wu shan Mountain horizontally (horse riding stance to tap the shovel on the right)
7. Wu long pan ding: Black dragon crouches on the top (turn the body to the left to brandish the shovel)
8. Wu long pan ding: Black dragon crouches on the top (turn the body to the right to brandish the shovel)
9. Qing long ru hai: Black dragon returns to the sea (turn back the body to stir the shovel)
10. Shi zi tai tou: The lion raises its head (right bow step to thrust the shovel upwards)
11. Huo lei ru di: The fire thunder drills into the earth (back cross step to thrust the shovel downwards)
